Mitosis - Cell Building
In this hands-on simulation, students guide a somatic cell from an Indian Muntjac through the process of mitosis, ensuring that each new daughter cell receives an identical set of chromosomes. The student assembles and organizes cellular components for each mitotic phase, progressing from prophase through cytokinesis. They manipulate chromosomes, spindle fibers, and nuclear membranes to correctly reconstruct each step. By completing this activity, students gain an interactive understanding of mitosis as a highly organized and essential process for growth and cellular reproduction.
